Bridge City, TX (Sept. 24, 2002) - ProMiles Software Development Corporation Marketing Director, Chris Lee, today announced the release of a major update to its industry leading product, ProMiles® Fuel Tax. Current customers will receive this update automatically with their quarterly update during the next 4-6 weeks, giving them even more functionality while maintaining the ease of use that ProMiles® Fuel Tax is known for.
According to Tony Stroncheck, ProMiles President of Sales & Marketing, with this new update of the ProMiles Fuel Tax program, PSDC extends its lead in fuel tax automation. Fuel tax automation allows a trucking company to automate the task of fuel tax reporting, saving money and improving accuracy to reduce employee workload and minimize the risk of fuel tax audits. This update has many important additional features that allow companies to automate their fuel taxes, including importing of GPS tracking points and dispatch data, and powerful features for intelligently importing fuel purchases from a variety of sources. "We have also added many new reports, and almost all reports can now be saved in a wide variety of popular formats, including industry standard XML. Our program's ability to export data allows a company to easily integrate fuel tax reporting with existing accounting and settlement programs," said Tim Pilcher, ProMiles President of Development.
In addition to powerful data importing and exporting tools, ProMiles Fuel Tax tightly integrates with the ProMiles mileage and routing system, a system accepted and used by more state/provincial fuel tax auditors than any other. When integrated with ProMiles Fuel Tax, the ProMiles mileage and routing system allows both automatic and manual importing of trips, and even allows users to look at and edit fuel tax trips on a map!
According to Mr. Pilcher, "While we have put a lot of effort into fuel tax automation, we have not forgotten those people that enter trips manually. We continue to refine our industry leading trip sheet entry system that has won favor with more fuel tax reporting services than any other fuel tax program. With our trip entry system, a fuel tax data entry person is able to accurately enter trip sheets faster than with any other fuel tax reporting system available."
The latest release of ProMiles Fuel Tax can integrate with Microsoft® SQL Server, providing support for a virtually unlimited number of fleets and trucks. This is especially important to large fuel tax reporting services and large fleets that need to compile data for thousands or tens of thousands of vehicles each quarter.
