Transplace Offers ProMiles for Fuel Management Software

Bridge City, TX (April 28 , 2002) - ProMiles Software Development Corporation President, Tony Stroncheck, today announced an agreement to supply Transplace subscribing carrier members access to the ProMilesOnline platform and online applications, FuelTaxOnline and DriverLogsOnline. The services, provided through one system, include fuel management software options for mileage, routing, fuel optimization, fuel tax reporting and driver log auditing. Discounts on ProMiles CD products are available to members through the Transplace online Marketplace.

ProMiles was the first company to offer web-based truck routing, mapping and fuel optimization. ProMilesOnline includes access to information such as daily Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) rack data, fuel prices at 7,300 truck stops, trip tax summary and various routing methods. The user creates their own custom fuel price network and compares it to the Transplace Fuel Network and daily retail prices across the nation.

Completed trips, including odometer readings, are sent to FuelTaxOnline, the only web-based fuel tax software available, for calculation of monthly or quarterly fuel tax reports. By accumulating trips in FuelTaxOnline, users have access to pre-audit functions such as checking for gap miles between trips, erroneous fuel purchase entries and missed deadhead mileage. Individual trucks, terminals or a fleet can print reports for mile taxes, International Free Trade Agreement (IFTA), International Registration Plan (IRP) and Internal office reports for tax summaries.

DriverLogsOnline has undergone recent revisions to include log-auditing capabilities for company drivers and leased operators. The newest release includes the ability to view drivers' hours of service (HOS) as well as perform audits for violations of HOS, speeding and other functions common to a log audit.

"DriverLogsOnline started out as a tool for the individual owner or operator to audit logs using a web-based application. The demand for a full featured program has been tremendous and we have made modifications to the program to deal with that," said Stroncheck.
